Chris Cavette joined Fire Chief in February 1999. He received a Bachelor's degree in engineering from Harvey Mudd College in 1965 and a master's degree in mechanical engineering from Stanford University in 1971. He has a wide range of technical and management experience, including working at Peterbilt Motors Co. in both engineering and marketing for 16 years. Chris has actively followed the design of fire apparatus for more than 45 years and has been writing about them since 1980.

Annex D: Refurbish or Replace?
